Department of Electrical Engineering – Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María – Campus Santiago – Chile
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria (UTFSM) will appoint a full-time academic in the field of Electrical Machines for its campus located in Santiago, Chile. (code 21-04-08). We are looking for candidates with experience in any of the following areas: electrical machines (including design), electro-mobility, electrical drives, dynamic studies, or renewable energies.
Responsabilities
Lecturing of under and post-graduate courses (normally two courses per academic semester), conducting research in areas complementary to the areas of research in the Department, applying for grants and leading research projects, supervising students in their final graduation projects, and management of industry-related projects.
Applicant requirements
The candidate should hold a PhD degree or be currently pursuing studies towards the obtention of the degree. The contract is permanent after a normal probation period of two years. The salary is determined according to relevant experience. Candidates do not need to master Spanish language at the time of applying, but should be prepared to learn the language well enough for teaching by the end of the probation period. We particularly encourage applications from women candidates.
