Last Thursday, December 2, at the Miraflores campus of the Viña del Mar University, the first session of the second Energy Civil Society Council (COSOC) of the Valparaíso Region, led by the Energy Seremi, was held. Fernanda Pinochet Olave.
The COSOC is a citizen participation mechanism created within the framework of Law No. 20,500 on Associations and Citizen Participation in Public Management and its composition has a duration of two years. In addition, it is an instance of a consultative, democratic and autonomous nature in its decisions, agreements and opinions, which seeks to deepen and strengthen the relationship between organized civil society and State bodies, in this case the Ministry of Energy.
At this meeting, the president, Víctor Hugo Hinojosa, Head of Career and professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, and the vice president, Claudia Escalera, member of the Quintero Rotary Club, and the Communications Officer, Eva Soto, were elected. Acevedo, Director of the Department of Engineering Sciences for Sustainability, Universidad de Playa Ancha.
